Osprey EXOS 48 backpack – A review
I really want to hate this bag. After all it weighs 1kilo, holds just 50 liters and is mass produced in vietnam with second tier textiles (compared to cuben fiber). But I also want to give this bag an honest shot – I paid just 100usd for it on sale and compared to many other backpacks that can be bought in regular outdoor shops; this bag is light. So here I am a couple of weeks later and 100 kilometers on my back with it and I don’t want to give it back. It’s a love hate relationship here: It’s heavier and smaller than my zpacks arc-blast, it’s arguably uglier, and because I really want to hate it I really searched for all the problems I could. Video: The midnight visitor
This little fox and his friend visited us in the middle of the night.. He scratched the ground, came close enough to touch, pissed on my sons play toys and made off with my favourite shoes and Alexanders shorts. This guy was a little bastard, but it was quite enjoyable since I’ve never seen a fox so close.

Moving to wordpress
You might recall earlier that I wrote a post regarding moving back to weebly from wordpress.. well I reversed and spent the last couple of days moving everything over to WordPress. The reasons are many, but mainly I wanted to combine both of my blogs – kennethshaw.se and ultralightandcomfortable.com and I thought this would be easier to do with wordpress. While I am transferring over everything here there could be slight problems with the addresses and so on. I couldn’t do just an RSS feed dump which means I lost all the comments, likes and shares. So back to square one. Hopefully I will have all the kinks worked out over the weekend.
The wind jacket – Or the ultra secret weapon of the UL community
Yes the title is a bit gimmicky but stick with me here. I got a little inspired here to write about the wind shirt both by a recent post Jörgen from fjaderlatt.se wrote as well as from a recent trip I took where I kept getting the damn question “does that thing actually work?” from fellow hikers out on the trail. Bringing man back to nature..
Ultralight hiking and gear brings mankind back to nature. period. (see how I did there.. but wrote the actual . and spelled it out to make it more effective). It’s the title and my point. I wrote about going lighter and why you should do it, and it brought some funny images to my mind and something I thought would be fun to write about – mainly because I’m an asshole, but also because I think the people reading this are like me and find what I write to at least to be mildly entertaining.
