Video: Glacier water fall along kingstrail in sweden
Found this little spot just over a half broken bridge along kingstrail. You don’t even see it from the normal trail, you just kind of stumble upon it.
Analysis paralysis or GAS?
So which type are you? do you research things to death? read reviews and get a little panicky when you think you found something? And after you get all the information known to human kind, you still can’t make the purchase? You start to sweat, palms get wet and you make a little tinkle in your undies when your about to hit the purchase button? That is called in purely academic terms: Analysis paralysis – or as people like myself might say: Beta. Read More
Inside the MLD Duomid – camp setup
This video is from our third night out along kingstrail. I had apparently put my MLD duomid on top of a bug whole or something as it started to get pretty bad in there. In any case I found a little trick to getting them out. I noticed early on that once the bugs got in they just wanted to get out. So I opened up the top of my Duomid where my bug netting is and noticed within a short amount of time that all the bugs went out without me getting eaten or having to kill them. Read More
Step two going lighter – the backpack
So, in earlier parts of this series I have gone through the why to go lighter, then the first step which is to weigh what you have. Now in reality step two is probably more reading and checking out other blogs for lightweight tips and know how. To help get you started here are a few that I recommend Read More

Campground Showdown vol. 1 – Duomid Vs. MSR Elixir
Not as exciting as the title.. it’s late and I’m tired so don’t mind me too much. Just me and Mikael breaking down camp and getting ready to head off. My tent is the MLD Duomid his is the MSR elixir.
Not only does the Duomid look cooler, offer more space and just screams “legendary”.. It’s also a hell of a lot simpler than the MSR Elixir. Only a slightly biased opinion..
Why lighter backpacking?
I touch up on this a bit in my about section on this website, and I get the question quite a bit. Why should one go light? I think it’s pretty obvious really but I will try and break it down a bit. I will tell my story first and my move to the light side. It was about 5 years ago now when I made my first solo long distance hike – before that I had done a lot car camping and overnight stays, but never a long distance hike. I was going to walk 50 miles in 3 days. Not too long, but horrific with a heavy pack. Read More
Powermonkey extreme and solarmonkey review
After the last week of hiking I decided to do a quick review on a very important piece of gear for somebody like me who brings all kinds of photo and video equipment on a longer hiking trip – that is of course the battery power pack and solar charger. In this case I did a quick video review of the Powermonkey extreme along with the solarmonkey extreme. Read More
