There’s something magical about winter hiking that the summer months just can’t offer. Maybe it’s the freedom of being able to walk anywhere, over water, through once thick brush.. Not to mention the sheer beauty of winter landscapes.

I took this picture along Skuleskogens nationalpark just south of Örnsköldsvik in northern Sweden.
