This is really a continuation of the Los Angeles post, but more specifically for Santa monica pier and city area. All photos are taken on my Fujifilm X-T1 and this series is more street photography orientated.

I love this picture! Two kids making their way to the beach in the lovely summer sun

A little off focus, but it kind of adds to the charm I think. I always have such a hard time thinning out my photos – I love all of them, I take my photos with a specific purpose in mind. In any case I think these are the best ones from Santa monica! Enjoy

Most of the photos from this series where taken on Santa Monica pier and Pacific Park. I just loved the feel in the air, people where happy, the sun was shining – It was difficult to not be inspired here. On top of that at the end of the pier was excellent fishing!

Again, I loved the nostalgic feel of the Chrome film setting in the Fujifilm x-t1. It just feels like it’s suppose to, and maybe that’s because kodachrome has been such a popular film for the last 75 years of photography. Who knows, but I think these pictures were perfect right out of the camera. No cuts, edits or lightroom work except for the very first photo in which I made black and white.
